Business Development Associate (Professional)
Duties will include market research, assisting with the development of business strategies, managing a variety of projects, and identifying new business opportunities. Associate will work with various departments and report to the Chief Executive Officer. Associate is expected to be resourceful, organized and motivated to drive business growth by interpreting data and making recommendations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research of international entertainment industries in order to identify new investment opportunities, sales/licensing channels, and territory strategies
- Evaluate prospective investment opportunities by preparing comprehensive financial models
- Cultivate strong relationships with prospective partners (international filmmakers, distributors, studios), while maintaining existing partner relationships
- Identify and negotiate strategic partnerships including content financing arrangements and intellectual property rights
- Prioritize and track investments across various content slates of partner companies
- Collate and maintain partner information
- Work closely across departments to share information and implement growth strategies
- Draft and design presentations, reference materials, and other documents as required
- Manage multiple projects concurrently and meet fast-moving deadlines
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with various levels of content creators, executives, shareholders, board members and partner companies
- Assist with coordination, travel, scheduling, and other administrative duties as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Business Development, Finance, International Business or relevant discipline)
- 3 + years' relevant work experience in business development, international entertainment (film and television) or related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel and other relevant software
- Financial modeling experience preferred
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Adept at writing, facilitating and presenting analyses
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Friendly and personable demeanor
- Willingness to travel internationally
Salary/Benefits
$60,000.00 - 100,000.00 per year
